  1. Manager in dubai who is over 60 has been dumping all his jobs from 'his job profile' on his subordinate without compensation for many years ( exploitation ). How can one enjoy the 'fruits' of another man's labour? He has used the company to recruit his illiterate family relatives.

Are managers doing 'their own jobs'? Are the managers 'competent'? Are decisions taken 'unfair and biased'?

    Saad state…….

  2. Managers, especially those in the areas of customer services, are required to, interact with employees, never display favoritism. It's critical that managers do not communicate harshly towards any given individual. This is a sure sign of inappropriate behavioral skills on behalf of the manager itself. Managers must never cause an employee to lose self esteem. Managers are to build confidence / motivate and by doing so it encourages it's teams to bring it's special talents and it takes a team of motivate individually talents to achieve goals as a whole. One bad manager is comparable to one rotten potatoes in a bin.
People, we are not to allow our career choices define our characters as human beings. Managers have managers and just as it's manager has authority to make them lose esteem, it's not a just reason for acting out on its team. Perhaps the team or crew members are lacking due to its managers lack of managerial skills. Managers are not Wardens, employees are adults . Even a dog would walk away with it's tail between it's legs if one verbally/ raised it's voice . It's improper behavior for store managers to demand and verbally abuse might as well say mentally abuse employees, especially when the manager has to intent of building relationships with employees. No wonder so many individuals quit it's jobs.
Then this reflects on corporate offices/ it's competitive goals, revenue, all due to inappropriate managerial skills.
    Especially in McDonald stores

  3. Managerial skills requires a skill that's most highly overlooked by some fast food/franchised restaurants.
It's vitally important that al potential managers understand how to start with interpersonal skills. This manager must ask itself if it is capable of managing others. This would be very stressful and difficult for one who has issues with handling itself, personal , home, and most importantly it must understand that first impressions of oneself is also the perception of others. So, how would a manager be successful at managing others.
It must start with its inversely. Am 8 capable of respecting others, do I want to build a team of confident employees, am I capable of mediating while decreasing conflicts. How well do I respond to others while under personal stress. Some managers do not fully understand the comprehension of managerial skills.
It's best to acknowledge what others see prior to attempting to lead others. Professionalism is not learned it's a daily, lifelong habbit

  4. Advanced management in today's dynamic environment necessitates a shift towards more agile, strategic, and people-centric approaches. It's about leading with a clear vision while fostering collaboration, empowering teams, and driving innovation to navigate complexity and achieve sustainable growth.

  5. A skilled manager will address the under-performer's issues through constructive feedback. Recognize the high performer's contribution, while balancing their workload. Hmmm.

  6. New manager here, 18mo in, ~ 9 directs… and shit I am so bad at this. I am smacked in the face with the fact that I have a temper, get frustrated and lack consistency.

    – culture (shared values) vs individualism
    – transparency and acumen
    – accountability (clarity, expectations, explicitness, readiness, operation, housekeeping, growth)
    – clarity, connections vs complexity
    – alignment and systems
    – mastery and mentoring
    – flow and change escalation
    – sustainability (resourcefulness, resilience)
    – trust, respect, mojo
    etc

I especially agree with the emphasis on human skills and communication – building strong relationships and clear communication really do make all the difference. The examples and tips provided are so practical and helpful, from time management techniques to problem-solving strategies. However HRM Software can also help in managing time. One such software is ZestNexus. Thanks for the great insights, and I look forward to exploring the recommended resources!

  13. Management competency requires time in the trenches. You can have all the intellectual tools, but learning how to motivate a team is crucial. Second, treat people like people. They are not just numbers, bodies, and chess pieces you can move about. Developing listening and decision skills requires getting your hands dirty. Sometimes you have to weed out certain distractions to your team. Last but not least, support and protect your team. Get them the resources they need to be successful. Celebrate their accomplishment. Reward them for doing a great job. Communicate their successes to upper management. Throw out any book written by ex CEOs of General Electric!

  14. Interesting video. Good human skills are the most important attribute of an effective manager. This includes the use of soft skills to help your team (people aka human beings) succeed and acheive their best in support of improved organisational outcomes. It may be further supported through an appreciation of human behaviour in general and (more specifically) human behaviour at work.
