Capital One to Open Flagship Lounge at JFK
Capital One revealed today that the flagship Capital One Lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is opening to travelers on Thursday, June 19. Located in JFK’s Terminal 4, the 13,500 square-foot space promises a new standard for airport lounges in New York’s busiest travel hub.
The flagship lounge is Capital One’s largest lounge yet. The space brings the spirit and sophistication of New York City to life through specially-curated premium food and beverage offerings and bespoke design details.
Open 24 hours daily, the space includes distinct areas inspired by iconic New York experiences, like a Manhattan-style bar and a dining area designed to evoke Central Park, and features the most expansive tarmac views of any Capital One Lounge.
The Capital One Lounge at JFK includes some of NYC’s most quintessential experiences – from the bodega, designed to resemble a classic New York deli counter, to an interactive cheesemonger experience. It also debuts several new offerings exclusive to the flagship location, including a new “Midnight Snack” daily ritual serving late-night bites as an ode to the city that never sleeps.
Additional amenities at the Capital One Lounge at JFK include:
- One luxury shower suite outfitted with hotel-style amenities including Dyson hair dryers, plush towels, and
premium, sustainable toiletries, reservable via QR code once you’re inside the lounge. - Seven private, fully stocked restrooms
- One parent’s room equipped with a bottle warmer, changing table, and comfortable seating for caregivers
- A filtered water system so travelers can easily refill their reusable water bottles
- A flight status display to keep travelers on schedule without leaving their seat
- Individual power outlets and USB-C ports at every seat
- Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi
Who Can Access Capital One Lounges?
Venture X, Venture X Business, Venture, and Spark Miles customers enjoy special access to Capital One Lounges. However, the company announced upcoming changes to lounge access which go into effect on Feb. 1, 2026, and it is not good at all. The negative changes apply to both Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders. Additional users will no longer get free access, and you will also have to pay for guests. Priority Pass non-lounge airport experiences will also be gone soon for some business cardholders. Current access rules are as follows:
- Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card holders and their authorized users or account managers enjoy unlimited complimentary access to Capital One Lounges, plus complimentary entry for two guests per visit—and special pricing of
$45 per visit for additional guests. - Capital One Venture X Business primary cardholders enjoy unlimited complimentary access to Capital One Lounges, plus complimentary entry for two guests per visit—and special pricing of $45 per visit for additional guests.
- Venture and Capital One Spark Miles for Business cardholders can access Capital One Lounges at a discounted rate of $45.
- All others — both cardholders and non cardholders— can enter the Lounge for $90 per visit.
- Kids under two, accompanied by eligible cardholders, are welcome for free.
The Capital One Lounge welcomes visitors who have a boarding pass for a departing or connecting same-day flight up to 3 hours before their departure time.
