  1. Trading really threw me for a loop emotionally. >>< One moment I felt like I had the market mastered, and the next I was questioning why I ever got started. I tried doing it all on my own, following online videos, but the losses keeps stacking up faster than the wins.

  2. don't wait with retirement, but remember that living life in your youth is just as important, 6k vacation at 25 is going to way more memorable than a 30k retirement pool vacation at 70.

  3. You do pay taxes on retirement. For 401k it’s when you start making withdraws and with a Roth your contributions are after taxes.

    Also, be sure to take into account the inflation tax. If you believe the gov. numbers you need to take away 2% every year you are saving.

  4. Because of the the inflation, 6500$ is probably more than 10000$ 24 years later. 8 years ago, where I live, I needed 4x less money than I need today for a month. So actually it is no surprise that the person B got less in the end – she invested BOTH LESS and later
