Stripe, the programmable financial services company, has recently introduced the Agentic Commerce Suite, a solution to help businesses get ready to sell via multiple AI agents. More than likely, the future of digital commerce will involve the assistance of various artificial intelligence powered tools to enhance UX while ensuring adequate security and user privacy.
Fintech Stripe noted in a blog post that businesses such as Coach, Kate Spade, URBN (including Anthropologie, Free People, and Urban Outfitters), Revolve, Ashley Furniture, Halara, ABT Electronics, and Nectar, along with ecommerce platforms like Squarespace, Wix, Etsy, WooCommerce, commercetools, and BigCommerce, will use Agentic Commerce Suite in order to “capitalize on the new paradigm of agentic commerce.”
Stripe has recently launched the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP), “an open standard for agentic commerce.”
While ACP provides shared technical language between AI agents and businesses, real-world fragmentation remains: every AI agent “has its own integration requirements and onboarding flows.”
Agentic Commerce Suite removes that “complexity with a low-code solution for businesses, letting them sell across AI agents with a single integration.”
Agentic Commerce Suite also handles “Shared Payment Tokens, which let AI agents securely pass a buyer’s payment credentials to businesses for processing payments.”
Amit Sagiv and Volodymyr Tsukur, co-heads of Wix Payments at Wix said that AI is redefining how people “discover and shop online, and at Wix we’re focused on giving our users the most powerful tools to stay ahead.”
They added that by integrating Stripe’s Agentic Commerce Suite, they’re providing merchants “a way to tap into agentic commerce as it emerges, unlocking new opportunities to reach customers, drive conversion, and fuel sustainable growth.”
Rafe Colburn, chief product and technology officer of Etsy said that at Etsy, their responsibility is to ensure that their sellers’ work “can be discovered wherever buyers choose to shop. Stripe’s Agentic Commerce Suite offers an integration solution that makes it easier, enabling us to surface sellers’ unique items to buyers across platforms.”
Dan Chandre, senior vice president of commercial of Squarespace said that agentic shopping is transforming how people “discover and buy products.”
They added that with Stripe’s Agentic Commerce Suite, Squarespace merchants will be able to “bring their products into AI agents, unlocking a new way to grow their businesses.”
Stripe further noted that it is building the “economic infrastructure” for AI.
This latest launch of the Agentic Commerce Suite builds on a series of recent announcements, all aimed at helping businesses “thrive in the AI-enabled commerce era.”
