Discover Stops Accepting Applications for New Deposit Accounts

Due to the recent Capital One acquisition of Discover has officially stopped accepting applications for all new deposit accounts. Existing customers are currently unaffected and can continue to manage their accounts as usual.

It’s clear that Capital One is beginning to streamline operations and consolidate the brand. If you’re still looking for a high-yield home for your cash, you’ll need to look toward competitors or even Capital One’s own 360 Performance Savings.
