  1. As per my understanding management fee is part of expense ratio. Therefore, the conclusion of 4% does not add up.
KMIF follows KMI 30 whereas MIIETF follows MII30 with expense ratios 1.55% and 1.11% respectively.

So for a layman investor, index investment is the best option but finfluencers want people to choose stocks( aka dukan bhi chalani he)

  2. correction: management fees is already part of the expense ratio, and index funds here have around 1.5% – 1.6% expense ratio so its not 4% total

Ive created a platform FinHisaab where I have compiled every important data related to mutual funds in a single place and continuing to add more. I have also compiled returns upto 10Y while most sites show only 3Y data

The platform is FREE to use and helps comparing mutual funds in depth, do check it out if anyone is curious!

  3. If someone buy top 25 companies of KSE100 with same % , it will cover 72.5% of index . Is it accurate method to track index .? Because first step is to secure index returns and then second step is beating index .

  4. Brother, I have been following you since your earlier days Masha Allah, your content is king.
You don't need any subliminal messaging to be honest. It sounds cheap bro, pls don't be offended by my suggestion

  5. I disagree.
Anyone can invest in index funds with very low costs. You can create your own index portfolio using the information on the companies and their weights, which are publicly available. The only cost would be a small fee, around 0.15%, for using a broker.

  6. akd has kse100 index tracker at 1% – meezan mutual fund follow kmi30 (shariah index) at 2% front load. but both can waive this fee if you try and be a regular monthly investor from your savings. even if they dont it is a nominal % and still valid for beginners.

  7. agar index nahin toh phir kya sahi? mutual funds with 4% or stock picking? or any ETF that somewhat follows the Index?

  8. There is only one Index ETF in Pakistan. That was introduced by Mahaana and it's Islamic. Follows KMI 30 Index.

And in Mutual Funds, there are only 2 Index funds. One is by Meezan, KSE Meezan Index Fund and the other is a conventional fund tracking KSE100 by AKD Securities.
