The problem with US investment is income tax filing. You have to disclose all the assets you hold outside the country and this is purposefully designed to be as cumbersome as possible.

I had to fill some weird schedule form last time and every row was basically one trade that i did. I had to do this because i was getting mails from IT department saying i haven’t disclosed this. It’s an absolute pain in the a** and for that reason alone i had liquidated all my US positions.

The returns were good, but not worth the mental hassle. Anyone who is investing, please be aware of these gotchas too.

Hi Akshat. I loved your video, the content, the presentation. Even pioneers of investing world like Devina Mehra had been investing in Global market from many decades. Thanks really for making Youtube video on these topics, earlier thiese type of contents were only catering to HNIs, very wealthy people. I am not that rich, your Global Investing Community cost is 30K per year. If you can reduce that I think you can play volume game, many more common people unlike NRIs or MAANG employees can join your. You will get our blssings too helping not the wealthy only infact helping millions. Just a thought, may be wrong. Amazing job.

USA share is 25 % of world's GDP dow jones is 65 % of worlds total market cap , USA market cap is above of 200 % of gdp, India's market cap /gdp is around 100 % ….. As of today, usa is expensive india is cheap
