Markets will keep changing. Your investment process shouldn’t.

In this episode of Friday Investment Satsang, Parimal Ade and Gaurav Jain discuss the economy, market cycles, gold, asset allocation, global diversification, mutual fund performance and the opportunities emerging in India.

The conversation goes beyond short-term market noise and focuses on what actually matters for long-term investors:

• What is happening with inflation and interest rates globally?
• Why are long-term bond yields staying resilient despite rate-cut expectations?
• Why should gold be part of a diversified portfolio?
• Asset allocation vs chasing the next multibagger
• How investors should deal with underperformance in popular mutual funds
• Why process matters more than products
• How to align investments with financial goals
• Why global diversification is becoming increasingly important
• India’s potential in AI and data centres over the next 3–5 years

A key message from this Satsang: successful investing is not about predicting every market move. It is about having the right process, asset allocation and behaviour to stay invested through different market cycles.

Watch till the end for the discussion on India’s next growth opportunities and the future of AI and data centres.

  1. As a MFD, when you talk to the investors regarding proper financial planning or goal based investing, they are like we don't have any goals. When you explain them about possible gains, they are like Bhagwan ki Kripa se vo ho jayega. I just need ki mere pass paisa ho with no time frame in mind

  2. Previously they used to say Gold and global exposure based on goals.

Now they believe we should have gold in portfolio

After sometime they will say we should have Global exposure

I feel I can manage better on my own, 20% global 15% Gold 10% debt remaining in Indian equity, this has been my portfolio since last 4-5 years.

    Investing since 2017*

  3. This was a very refreshing take on why professional financial planning beats product-oriented investing. It's easy to get distracted by short-term news, so the reminder to stay focused on personal goals is valuable. For a long-term investor, what is the best way to handle the psychological pressure when a high-conviction portfolio lags for a few quarters?
