The Offer

Check your AmEx Offers for the following deal:

  • Get 20% back as a statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to make purchases in-store at Kroger online at kroger.com or through the Kroger mobile app by 10/22/2024. Limit of $15 back in total statement credits. See terms.

There are also similar offers for Kroger and Kroger.com from Chase Offers (and similar banks) and Citi Offers:

  • Earn $10 back on a purchase of $50 or more at Kroger.com.
  • Earn $5 cash back on your Kroger purchase when you spend $50 or more.
  • Earn 5% cash back on your Kroger.com purchase, with an $8.50 cash back maximum.
  • Earn 10% cash back on your Kroger purchase.

The Fine Print

Here’s the fine print on the AmEx Offer:

  • Offer valid in-store at Kroger, online at US website kroger.com or through the Kroger mobile app. Valid at participating locations in the US. Not valid on purchases shipped outside of the US. See merchant website for shipping policy. Some merchants may not ship to all areas. Excludes third party pickup/delivery services including, but not limited to Redbox and Coin star. Excludes physical gift cards and e-gift card purchases. Excludes gas stations, Fred Meyer Jewelry Stores, restaurants inside of Kroger, florists, clinics and pharmacies. Excludes Walgreen pickup purchases, Little Clinic site and Kroger Wireless.

Our Verdict

Grocery offers are almost as good as cash for a lot of people. The AmEx Offer has a nice long window for use while the other bank offers are only valid for a few weeks (those offers come and expire frequently).
