Amex Adding Over 400 Properties to Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Hotel Collection Programs

Today, American Express Travel announced that it is adding over 400 new, premium global properties to its expanding signature hotel programs, Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Hotel Collection, across 49 new destinations around the world. That brings the total to over 3,100 curated hotels in 114 countries.

Some of the new properties include:

American Express says that 70% of the properties added this year provide at least one form of additional value, including:

  • Complimentary valet parking

  • Complimentary items from the minibar

  • Unique welcome amenities

As a reminder, Platinum Card Members who book two-nights or more with The Hotel Collection through American Express Travel can unlock benefits, including hotel booking credits, property credits, and early check-in, late check-out and a room upgrade upon arrival, all when available. Platinum Card Members can also enjoy up to $100 property credit complimentary breakfast for two and guaranteed 4:00 p.m. check-out with Fine Hotels + Resorts bookings – the only credit card issuer program to offer it.

Platinum cardholders also get $200 back in statement credits each year on prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts® or The Hotel Collection bookings through American Express Travel. That credit is rumored to increase to $600 later this year, and it will likely be added to Business Platinum cards as well.
