Our Verdict
The older offer maxed out at $750 and this one has a $1k tier as well. The older offer also had some confusing language about targeting while this one appears to be a clean, public offer. (They did manage to add a bit of confusion by writing “you must apply a valid promotional code obtained through one of our authorized affiliate marketing partners”, but I assume the public landing page is an authorized source and would work for anyone.)
New customers only. I believe E*trade or Morgan Stanley customers who never had an E*trade Savings account would be eligible, but that could be worth verifying.
The bonus itself is pretty good as basically a 1% bonus if you meet the exact tiers required. The savings account also has a competitive regular interest rate as well (currently 3.75% at time of this writing). This is a solid deal for someone with cash reserves.
