Save 20% When You Book Southwest Flights with Points
Southwest Airlines has another promotion for Rapid Rewards members, offering a rebate of 20% on award bookings. I’m bot sure if the promotion is targeted, but you can easily check if you are eligible by visiting the promotion page ad logging in. Flights must be booked by July 15 and you can travel now through November 20. Check out the full details below.

Earn a rebate of 20% when you use your points to book a Southwest flight:
- Go to promotion page and log in to see if you are eligible.
- Click Register Now to register for the promotion.
- Book a qualifying Southwest® flight between 8:00 a.m. CT July 12, 2024, and 11:59 p.m. CT July 15, 2024 on Southwest.com® or swabiz.com using your Rapid Rewards® points
- Travel between July 12, 2024 and November 20, 2024, to earn a 20 percent Rapid Rewards Points rebate.
For example if you spend 1,000 Rapid Rewards points to purchase a flight, you will receive a rebate of 200 bonus points (20 percent of 1,000) in your Rapid Rewards account within four weeks.
Important Terms
- Offer is valid for domestic and international travel.
- To register for this promotion, you will need to provide your Southwest Rapid Rewards® account number at the time of registration.
- Registration must be completed prior to booking and commencement of travel. Valid on new qualifying reward flights booked during the Promotion Period for travel during the Travel Period and flown within the Travel Period.
- Member’s qualifying flight must be booked through Southwest Airlines® during the Promotion Period for travel that must be completed during the Travel Period.
- Member’s Rapid Rewards account number must be entered at the time of booking Member’s qualifying flight to earn rebate points for that flight.
- A qualifying flight is a one-way reward flight on Southwest Airlines from a destination city, including any intermediate stops and/or connections or a round trip reward flight on Southwest Airlines from to a destination city and back to the originating airport or carrier-recognized co-terminal.
- Travel booked and/or flown prior to registration for this promotion is not eligible for the rebate bonus offer.
- Rapid Rewards rebate bonus points will only be earned by the person whose name appears in the Rapid Rewards account and who actually travels, regardless of who purchased or paid for the ticket.
- Member will not earn rebate bonus points for travel by another Southwest Customer or Rapid Rewards Member, even if the Member paid for the other person’s travel.
- Rebate bonus points will not count toward A-List, A-List Preferred, or Companion Pass® qualification. Rebate bonus Rapid Rewards points will be deposited to the Rapid Rewards account used to book the eligible reward flight within four weeks after completion of entire ticket.
- If one direction of the trip is outside the Travel Period and one is within the Travel Period, only the portion of travel falling within the Travel Period will receive the rebate bonus Rapid Rewards points. Changes made to the itinerary after purchase might eliminate qualification for this promotion.

The terms state that travel booked prior to registration for this promotion is not eligible for the rebate bonus offer. But you can cancel flights and rebook now.
