The Offer

Across various channels, Capital One is offering a bonus for those who open a new Yieldstreet investor account. No actual investment appears to be required.

  • Some people have an offer within their Capital One login (possibly targeted for Venture X customers) to get 56,000 miles when signing up and verifying their accredited investor status. Accredited investor status requires $1M in proven assets or $200k (single)/$300k (couple) income for two years.
  • Those without accreditation can get 17,000 miles
  • I’m seeing in my Capital One login an offer for $280 accredited or $85 without the accreditation.
  • In the Capital One Shopping portal there is an offer (link) for $50/$150 for Yieldstreet signup. Others might have a different offer amount showing.

The Fine Print

  • To earn the rebate you must make an eligible purchase at yieldstreet.com. Not applicable on uploading documents.

Our Verdict

The accreditation process is somewhat invasive with uploading either bank/brokerage statements or W-2 or tax returns, etc. Still a solid bonus and something to consider. The lower bonus for signup without accreditation is also interesting.

I’m not well familiar with Yieldstreet investing itself. These bonus offers are interesting in that there doesn’t seem to be any requirement other than the signup and approval process.
