Mesa Credit Cards To Be Closed Immediately

Mesa has sent out an e-mail to cardholders informing them that effective immediately the Mesa credit card will be closing down. The e-mail states the following:

We are reaching out today to share the unfortunate news that, effective immediately, your Mesa Homeowners Card account will be closed. As such, your credit card will be deactivated and you will not be able to make any new purchases or earn Mesa Points. We will provide you with separate guidance with regards to your remaining Mesa Points balance. This account closure has nothing to do with your account standing and is not the result of any wrongdoing or any actions taken by you with regards to your account.

IMMEDIATE ACTION CHECKLIST

1. STOP USING YOUR CARD NOW: If you have not already done so, you must stop using your Mesa Homeowners Card immediately. Any transaction attempted after the date of
delivery of this communication will be declined.

2. CONFIRM RECURRING PAYMENTS ARE UPDATED: Verify that all merchants have been updated with a new payment method.

3. REVIEW FINAL BALANCE: You are responsible for making minimum monthly payments for your outstanding balance.

We understand this is an inconvenience, and we are committed to making this process as smooth as possible.

For questions about your account balance, payments, or statements:

Call: 1 (866) 301-6372 (Available 8am – 5pm ET, Monday – Friday)

The website (see image below) makes it clear that this is for ALL cardholders even if you didn’t receive an e-mail. Hopefully existing points balances will be redeemable at some stage but given the sudden no notice nature of this closure I don’t have high hopes. Note: You can currently redeem points for 0.6 per cent against statement credit, not clear if this will be honored but cannot transfer points to partners.
