Amer4ican Express has launched two increased welcome bonuses on two versions of the popular Platinum card. While the standard Amex Platinum card can get you a 175K bonus through select referrals, you can now get good offers (but not as good) for two other flavors. The American Express Platinum® Card for Schwab has a bonus of 125K points and The Platinum Card® from American Express Exclusively for Morgan Stanley is offering 150K points. Let’s check the details.
The American Express Platinum® Card for Schwab

One of the unique perks of this card is that it lets you cash out your Membership Rewards points at a value of 1.1 cents each, with a maximum of 1 million points per year. That’s slightly better than the Amex Business Checking account which lets you cash out at 1cpp.
You also get a $100 card statement credit if your qualifying Schwab holdings are equal to or greater than $250,000, $200 for $1,000,000 or more and a$1,000 card statement credit with $10,000,000 or more.

This card lets you cash out points at 1 cent each. You also get a $695 annual engagement bonus into your Platinum CashPlus account, which effectively waives that annual fee. Plus the annual fee for the first Additional Platinum Card is $0 ($195 after that).

These are the best bonuses we have seen for the Charles Schwab and Morgan Stanley Amex Platinum Cards. You can earn 125K and 150K respectively when you spend $8,000 in purchases in your first 6 months.
The terms now limit you to just one Amex Platinum bonus per lifetime (5-7 years), no matter which Amex Platinum card you apply for. However, as highlighted in the terms, it doesn’t mean that you will 100% be denied for another bonus.
