• CODE Credit Union is offering a $400 bonus when you open a new checking account and complete the following requirements:
  • Open a Cash Back Checking account by 10/31/25
  • Enroll in eStatements
  • Obtain a CODE VISA Debit Card
  • Maintain an average daily balance of $1,000
  • Set up and receive direct deposits totaling $1,000 or more within 60 days

The Fine Print

• To receive a $400 cash bonus, open a new Cash Back Checking account with select services (estatements, debit card and direct deposits totaling at least $1,000 within 60 days of account opening) by October 31, 2025.
• To receive a $300 cash bonus, open a new Smart Saver Checking account with select services (estatements, debit card and direct deposits totaling at least $500 within 60 days of account opening) by October 31, 2025.
• The cash bonus will be deposited upon verification of select services. Offer valid for new checking accounts only.
• Must not have had a previous checking account with CODE Credit Union within the last 12 months. Limit one promotional bonus per member.
• Bonus may be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT.
• All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Avoiding Fees

Monthly Fees

Cash back checking has no monthly fee with eStatements +$1,000 balance. Otherwise there is a $5 paper fee and $5 monthly service fee. 

Early Account Termination Fee

I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so unsure if there is an early account termination fee or not.

Our Verdict

Better than the previous $100 referral bonus and $200 bonus. We will add this to our list of the best checking bonuses.
