  1. I pulled out my Lost Mary, and hit that thang with 0% juice and 9% battery after i ordered a cheeseburger at McDonalds and when it was time to pay 3.76$. I Scanned my QR code, yea I WONT BE PAYING FOR THIS, YOUR COMPANY'S GOING TO GIVE THIS TO ME FOR FREE.
    * TAKES HUGE HIT…

  2. MOVIE: This.
    REAL WORLD: You let them have their moment of joy while you walk away in silence so they keep thinking sending you the money is just a time consuming formality of a steal deal. Only when the money arrives at your bank account. That is the moment you can start bragging. Given you really need or want to. Beause what would be the point after all that? You won. And they probably know it by now as well 🙂

  3. I have been in such rooms a few times. In the real world here's how deals are "done" as in worked through, decided and sealed:

    1. In some cases the papers are just a formality, the deal has already been done by those in charge, over a or multiple discussions, they decide, agree and have their workers, the people they pay, make the formalities, legally official. When those in charge sign they review the highlights at best after having the confirmations from the people they payed to check all the dots and i's;

    2. In other situations it's a labourious back and forth between the parties, each with its team, legal, compliance, security etc, sometimes private one on one between the decision makers to clarify basic business, sales, relationship points before involving each other's teams. Each meeting between teams is tracked, recorded, someone on each side is in charge of taking note of each discussion point, next actions, on who's part, questions pending, next steps, highlights, to dos for next sessions etc. Sometimes lawyers on the calls through force a habit cross swords with each other and you have (the decision maker) to break it up, get the discussion back on track to the common goals we want to achieve etc. One side tries to be slick sometimes and change certain details between sessions, sometimes you have to be friendly, talk it over coffee and all, sometimes you have to be cut throat and give ultimatums or adjust to ultimatum, depending on which side of the leverage you are.

    After a long, long road, the final, final, FINAL version of the contract/papers is sealed and signed by each side at once or separately.

    In this video a deal wasn't "done", the formalities were just sealed with a signature. The deal was "done" long before this moment.

  4. Makes great movies but no, nothing about this is real.

    He would have had a pack of lawyers verifying every word of that document. They also would have done due diligence and learned what other bids were.

  5. This is exactly how my last time buying a car went. The sales manager was just sitting there waiting for me to sign.

    PS, that didnt happen but it sounded funny in my head. Kind of like the creator of this video thinking this was how deals were done.
