The Sears Mastercard Will Convert to Citi ThankYou Mastercard

Starting April 12, 2025, the Sears Mastercard will have a new look and be renamed the Citi ThankYou Mastercard. It doesn’t look like there will be any changes to the Shop Your Way Mastercard. That’s the card that most people will care about, as it usually has great spending offers.

Here’s what Sears Mastercard cardholders can expect in the next few months:

  • As of April 12, 2025, the Sears Mastercard will be renamed the Citi ThankYou Mastercard and all branding and communications will refer to the Citi ThankYou Mastercard including statements, materials and services for your account.
  • There will be no change to the current account number or account history as a result of this change.
  • A new Citi ThankYou Mastercard will be sent between May 15 and June 30, 2025. This card replaces the current Sears Mastercard which should be destroyed upon receipt of the new card. New card issuance subject to your account eligibility including being open and good standing.
  • You can continue to manage your account including checking your balance, making online payments and setting up payment due or account balance alerts at citithankyoucard.com using your existing login ID and password.
  • The new card earns 1X ThankYou Point for each $1 spent on eligible purchases.
