You asked, and the Good Work Investigative News Team answered. Even if you didn’t ask, the Good Work Investigative News Team still answered. That’s just how good we are.

Thanks to Dunkin’, the official sponsor of getting Good Work out of bed in the morning (this is real).

Thanks to the following intrepid souls for their help with this investigation: Steph Mui, founder of PIN and former JPMorgan I-banker; Liam Killingstad, SVP at SHEPERD therapeutics and former Goldman I-banker; Sonali Basak, lead Wall Street correspondent at Bloomberg TV and writer for Bloomberg news; and Theresa Moriarty and Spencer Wright, who both have partners who are investment bankers.

  1. Trading has truly transformed my life. I started with nothing but curiosity and a leap of faith in the financial markets. Despite challenges, I stayed committed, learning and growing with each step. Today, I’m proud to say that trading not only gave me financial freedom but also the means to own a house. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunities it’s brought my way

  3. I'm not being sarcastic when I say this video provides the best explanation for what Goldman Sachs and other investment banks do; there's great detail, sources, and simplicity. The humor also helps, and I'm so surprised someone from Bloomberg TV actually sat down with you, but obviously you must've tricked her somehow.

  4. Ngl asking these ex investment bankers creates a good amount of bias. I think it was informative as to what exactly they did on a day to day basis, but when the ex jp morgan and goldman sachs operatives started saying investment banks might become irrelevant in the future was just dull and unreasonable. Video should have been 4 min tops.

  5. *All Wars Are Bankers’ Wars* – Michael Rivero’s incisive 2016 documentary uncovers a provocative yet understudied narrative: major wars and political upheavals are often driven—and bankrolled—by private central banking interests. @stevesramek

  6. On a serious note, @8:07 he says "…and other industries offering similar pay and better work life balance right out of college, high banking faces an identity crisis." Does anyone have any examples of these jobs in other industries that he speaks of? I get the video has an high degree of comedy in it, but I was hoping for some real examples of that. Thank you in advance.
