Quantitative Finance is not stock picking. It’s not vibes-based investing. It’s math, data, and code—used to build models, manage risk, and trade intelligently across global markets.
We’ll walk through:
– How returns and risk are modeled using probability distributions
– Why correlation and high-dimensional statistics matter
– What pair trading is—and how to profit even when the market goes down
– How portfolios are constructed using optimization
This is the real foundation behind quant finance, the kind you’ll need to master if you want to work at a hedge fund or trading firm—or build your own.

Impressive and straightforward as an intro !
I think there’s a better lens for this. I explained it recently.
This is crazy, I have always thought of something like this happening in trading but never thought of how to put it in words. Stumbled on this video by chance, In short I thought about quant trading before actually knowing it exists or the word u use to describe it. Amazing!!
It's categorically wrong to use Normal distributions for returns, since returns distributions are categorically non-gaussian. You can pretty easily show this by running a Jaroque-Bera test on returns, for instance. In reality we need time series volatility models like GARCH, where the volatility is student-t or heavier tails. So the resulting series is much, much heavier tails than Gaussian, both due to recursive volatility and due to the student-t (which has heavier tails than Gaussian) itself.
Finance on the mathematical side is fun…wish this was taught more in school mathematics

still dont know when the change is coming…
Get well soon buddy

Binomial distribution, Normal distribution…. Woahhh i love this.
Excellent. Marvellous
I want to learn quant finance
When the course will come?
Amazing video, great explanation. Especially, the portfolio construction with different constraints was very well explained. Thanks!
QF, ಮತ್ತೆ ನೋಡಿ😊
love tis
The illustration of the concept was pretty clear and knowledgeable, while being short and beneficial big like keep the good job❤
Please sound indonesia i like this video but i dont knows
I thought I am a smart kid until I watch 1 video at 6:32 and see what I havent been able to predict of.

I’m waiting for the course launch since last 3-4 months.. when will the Quant course be available??
This is very informative, practical, easy to understand 3D explanation series.. very useful as I’m pursuing FRM certification it gave me a lot of clearity…
I love it! Thank you 😊
Am 58 retiring next year but the thought of retirement gives me weakness. My apologies to everyone who have retired and filing social security during this time after putting in all those years of work just to lose everything to a problem you never imagined to happen. It’s so difficult for people who are retired and have no savings or loved ones to fall back on.
I am a corporate finance graduate. You have nailed it. You explain this concept in a simple way🎉.
nice explaination
A nice presentation. Easy to learn. Very Impressive style of teaching.
