Disadvantages
- Only first $2,000 purchases per quarter on bonus categories can earn 5% cash back, after that you can only earn 1% cash back.
- [New] Starting from 2021.2.19, cash rewards will expire at the end of the calendar month 36 months after the billing cycle in which they were earned. Automatic monthly cash rewards redemption feature is discontinued. The minimum redemption amount is $25 (If you use the real time rewards feature to redeem then the minimum amount is $10).
- Note that you need to activate the 5% category every quarter (unlike BoA Cash Rewards which you still earn 3% for the previously chosen category if you forget to choose categories later on).
- Its 5% category is not as useful as those of the Chase Freedom Credit Card or Discover it Credit Card which sometimes have Restaurants, Grocery, Online Shopping, etc. as their 5% bonus category.
- It has foreign transaction fee, so it’s not a good choice outside the US.

- We recommend you apply for this card after you have a credit history of at least two years and you are very comfortable with the credit card game.
Summary
The 5% cash back seems to be good, but its categories are not as useful as the categories of Chase Freedom or Discover it. It’s better to calculate how much you can earn from this card before you decide to apply. After the change in 2021.2, cash rewards will expire after 36 months, therefore you have to pay attention to this card sometime to avoid losing your cashback. US Bank credit cards are very hard to get approved, so we do not recommend this card to beginners.

Prediction: Buying Enbridge Today Could Set You Up for Life
I bought Enbridge (ENB 1.06%) in 2021 and have added to my position a couple of times since then. As a dividend investor, the most obvious draw is the North American midstream giant’s lofty yield of 5.1%, well above the broader market’s 1.1%. However, there is so much more to like about this energy business, which I expect to provide me with a reliable passive income stream for the rest of my life.
Enbridge is a cash flow machine
Enbridge is an energy stock, but it is really better viewed as a service provider. It owns the energy infrastructure that helps to move oil and natural gas around the world. It charges its customers fees for using its assets. That allows the company to sidestep commodity risk, with energy demand far more important to Enbridge’s results than oil prices. Given the importance of energy to the modern world, the volume flowing through Enbridge’s system tends to be strong throughout the entire energy cycle.

That said, Enbridge’s big-picture focus is actually to provide the world with the energy it needs. Right now, oil and natural gas are very important. And they are likely to remain so for years to come. However, the world is shifting toward cleaner solutions.
This is why Enbridge also owns regulated natural gas utilities and clean energy assets. Both provide reliable cash flows, so there’s no change in the company’s fundamental approach. And management is, basically, shifting the portfolio in line with changes in global energy demand. That suggests I can comfortably own Enbridge for decades without worrying that it will get left behind as the world continues to go green.
Enbridge is conservative by nature
Some investors will look at Enbridge’s balance sheet and note that it is more highly leveraged than some of its midstream peers. That is entirely reasonable because of the regulated utility assets it owns. The fact is that Enbridge doesn’t take on undue risks. For example, it has an investment-grade rated balance sheet, and it targets a reasonable 60% to 70% of distributable cash flow payout ratio.

All in, Enbridge’s business model is built around paying a reliable and slowly growing dividend. At this point, the dividend has been increased, in Canadian dollars, for 31 consecutive years. I expect that streak to continue long into the future.
Slow and steady is just fine by me
If there’s one problem that crops up for investors, it is likely to be that Enbridge is a bit of a tortoise when it comes to growth. But slow and steady, with a lofty dividend yield, is right up my alley. If you are a dividend investor like me, Enbridge will probably be a good fit for you, too.

Amy Allen was named Songwriter of the Year, Sony Music Publishing took home Publisher of the Year for a tenth time, and Die With a Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars was honored as Song of the Year at the 2026 ASCAP Pop Music Awards on Thursday (April 30) in Los Angeles.
The ceremony, held at the Chaplin Studios in Hollywood, celebrated the songwriters and publishers behind the most-performed ASCAP pop songs of the past year, as determined by terrestrial and satellite radio data and on-demand audio streams provided by Luminate.
Allen, who is signed to Warner Chappell Music, co-wrote five of ASCAP’s most-performed songs of the past year: APT. (ROSÉ & Bruno Mars), High Road (Koe Wetzel & Jessie Murph), and three Sabrina Carpenter hits — Tears, Manchild and Bed Chem.
Allen’s ASCAP honor follows her becoming the first woman to win the Grammy for Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical, in 2025. She repeated the feat at the 2026 Grammys in February, becoming the first songwriter to win the award twice.
The Song of the Year award went to Die With a Smile, co-written by ASCAP songwriter James Fauntleroy and published by Warner Chappell Music.
The Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars duet spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 60 weeks on the chart overall.
ASCAP said it also topped Billboard‘s year-end Hot 100, which it described as a first for a duet featuring a female and male soloist each in lead roles in the chart’s 67-year history.

Sony Music Publishing was named Publisher of the Year for its contributions across 27 of the past year’s most-performed pop songs, including It’s ok I’m ok (Tate McRae), Man I Need (Olivia Dean), Messy (Lola Young), Pink Pony Club (Chappell Roan), Ordinary (Alex Warren) and Blue Strips (Jessie Murph).
It is SMP’s 10th Publisher of the Year win at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards. The company won the award for a ninth time at the equivalent ceremony 12 months ago.
“We are honored to be named ASCAP’s Pop Publisher of the Year,” said Katie Welle, Sony Music Publishing President, Head of A&R.
“This recognition speaks to the exceptional talent of our songwriters and the passion they bring to their craft every day. It’s a privilege to support such an inspiring community of creators.”

Icelandic singer-songwriter Laufey received the ASCAP Creative Voice Award, presented by Suki Waterhouse. The award recognizes ASCAP members whose career achievements are informed by their creative spirit and their contributions to the community. Previous recipients include Questlove, Wyclef Jean and Lyle Lovett.

The World of Hyatt program is one of the best out there for good reason. You get a lot of value for your points, there are great properties in the US and around the world, and the World of Hyatt Card is a keeper. The World of Hyatt Business Card was added more recently, and both cards now have elevated welcome bonuses. Elite status is also quite valuable, they have fun features such as Brand Explorer and we often see different promotions.
This 500 points bonus is yet another opportunity to earn extra points for stays at new Hyatt hotels. It is not a bonus that will make you book a property out of nowhere, but if one of these new properties matches your travel plans, then 500 extra points are always a good deal.
One thing to keep in mind is that new properties might not always be the best choice. Hopefully can check out previous reviews or trip reports if they are available, but sometimes they haven’t tested and worked out everything on the property.

Secret Service agent was struck by buckshot from alleged White House correspondents’ dinner shooter
Authorities have determined that buckshot from the gun of the man charged with trying to storm the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in an attempt to kill President Donald Trump struck a Secret Service agent, according to the federal prosecutor overseeing the investigation.
Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, said last week there was no evidence the agent was hit by friendly fire during the incident at a Washington hotel on April 25, but she went beyond that Sunday in saying a shot from one of Cole Tomas Allen’s weapons hit the officer’s bullet-resistant vest.
“We now can establish that a pellet that came from the buckshot from the defendant’s Mossberg pump-action shotgun was intertwined with the fiber of the vest of the Secret Service officer,” she told CNN’s “State of the Union.” “It is definitively his bullet.”
Allen, who remains behind bars for now pending his trial, was injured during the attack but was not shot. The officer survived.
On Thursday, Pirro posted a video on social media showing the moment that authorities say a man with guns and knives attempted to storm the media gala. Questions have lingered about whose bullet struck the officer as the suspect ran through security with a long gun toward the ballroom packed with journalists, administration officials and others.
A phone call to lawyers representing Allen went unanswered on Sunday.
Allen has been charged with attempted assassination of the president, as well as two additional firearms counts, including discharging a weapon during a crime of violence. He faces up to life in prison if convicted of the assassination count alone.
Allen, 31, is from Torrance, California. He worked as a part-time tutor for a test preparation company and is an amateur video game developer.
