the M in STEM actually stands for Mathematics (and not Medicine) 🤦♀️ Complete silly mistake that I let slip during filming and editing
hii, idk if anyone read this, but i'm an artist, and my dad told me to go to business management so i can sell my arts. should i do that? i'm having a gap year and going to college at 2027, so i'll be damned if i'm picking the wrong major.
So all the jobs that require an MBA or BA ill just ket them know .uts ok i learnred all the required education on youtube …so we good lol . I just be a doctor or a scientist instead lol
I'm taking a risk 'cause I believe in Allah. I know he make my choisec beatiful and khayr!!
And that's why I'm studying English Literature. Because every salesman can be replaced by another dude, but replacing an English is significantly harder.
A UK business degree is useless, you can only thrive with a business degree in capitalist America
i think this video is kinda demotivating for the people who are interested in business courses especially me
I don't think that is applicable here in the Phil's
Please what should I choose dentistry or go into management ? I want to be a businessman ,help people .
if you're reading and considering getting a business degree; have a plan; and have a passion. mine is going into local/state government since business is FUNDAMENTAL to governance in all concentrations. the dream would be getting an MPA!!! just have a goal for yourself going in, and you'll save yourself from a lot of anxiety (especially if you think about changing your major at any point, plan that out too).
Business management degree is worth it because you can go above a general manager, some places only require high school diploma so it puts you in a better position to go higher. Think corporate level or entry level higher above customer service.
I have a business degree and I can tell you that a lot of things you learn in the classroom aren’t easily learned in the world without working in a professional environment. A degree in business is essential if you want to work in any sort of career that is in upper management or advertising, government, etc. There is a lot of benefits to a business degree. I just enrolled in a Master of Science in Marketing and a certificate in Digital Marketing.
In the US if you are considering business as a degree and feeling confused by vids like this, just know that being raised buying items at the store in no way prepares you for how to do accounting, analytics, the finer points of finance, economics, applied statistics, or business law. It doesn't build your skills, opportunities, and network like a degree. It doesn't teach you what truly effective marketing looks like or metrics or intricate corporate structure and product management. And let's not forget the computer side of things. Lots of these subjects are far too broad and complex for the average person to just "look up on the internet." You won't get the perspective you gain in a classroom, either.
I agree that if you aren't serious about business, maybe you shouldn't pick it as a degree. But a business degree is so foundational I have a hard time believing anyone who really got one would be able to say "I could've looked up all those four years on google." Without doing it first, you don't even know what you need to know! No job is going to hire you for a job requiring a business degree on the basis that you were raised capitalist.
here in Egypt, Business major is considered a worthless degree, you can't even find a job with it, and Egyptians call it the people's major because literally everyone who fails in high school major in it. in college they don't teach us anything useful the professor go in the lecture and just read you some slides.
Watching your video from Switzerland . Very interesting video.
Stem : science technology engineering and math. Medicine isn’t part of stem but it falls in under science so ig it does
I want to use to open a business with boxing
Is this a joke ,your plans and life is not the same as others , your truth can be lies to others
So far, number one isn’t necessarily a con because all college degrees really have some kind of unnecessary load onto it (can be null options), it’s a systematic structure setup for debt and profits. Yet, since we’re the ones in need, we become educated. And that’s the formation of becoming allegedly professionalized. In short, it is what it is. Anything for the paper (diploma/s) & for the bag (job security: hopefully). | Of course everyone who’s with a true personality, has their own positive dreams and reasons behind choosing (especially to help out loved ones and leave a meaningful legacy) But it’s just also fact in the end of the day, is what I mean.
The pay in the UK seems awful
I love Management degrees, but it alone is waste of the time. Take part of it marketing or fiance example for. There's even more options additionally.
I'm currently majoring in marketing but i plan on double majoring in either management or MIS/Business computing and idk which one to pick. I don't know which one is better for the long run. Can someone please give me an advice or something. I like both i just don't know which one to pick 😭
thanks for being transparent with your points
Business is about trade, Trade is about exchange, Exchange is about new opportunity, New opportunity is about a small piece of happiness, Then we again lookafter money and start from trade again. If cycle fail then comes genocide.
Agree with what she says. Business degrees teach superficial stuff, things you pick up in a book. If you are smart, studying such things makes you get "dumbed down"
I just started watching your videos. And I appreciate the information, is there any way you can make one pros and cons for the USA 🇺🇸 of course I heard it varies where you live but is that possible or we can discuss about it or you can lead me in the right direction? @cloudsjoo
Well i{m studying to get my Bachelors is Business Project management I want to become a real estate developer so I will develop land and property.
Thank you for sharing, let me give you my insight, so you have another point of view.
1) Your MiM degree is not comparable to an MBA.
2) The career centers of most European universities do not do “business” (excluding INSEAD). They only do “administrative” work. Unlike US Business Schools, where their job is to ensure students who pay a lot of money will get the highest possible returns.
So, I recommend also hearing from those who graduated with MBAs from Top-15 US Business Schools in the US to find out why you should or shouldn't get a business degree.
her cons about business majors made me choose to go to business school 😂
For me it's not the degree but the person that is the difference between a successful career, an average one or none at all. Certainly helps if you pick a degree wisely though, no one wants to take on a £50K debt lightly.
This video is so irrelevant I’m sorry, like that is your opinion and i respect it but the points you mentioned are very VERY subjective. “Don’t waste your money on a business degree because there are sources everywhere”??? Ma’am there are sources for coding too but you pay for 1 the experience and socializing 2 the help of the teacher and the assistance 3 the diplome cause you ain’t getting a diploma from watching youtube
Also you choose STEM students for business jobs?? Bro i would wanna apply where you are working cause why give hope to the students who study business and apply TO BUSINESS JOBS just to turn them down because their accurate degree isn’t worth it to you???
And let along the “assholes” bro…
One thing you did not mention is that a lot of my business classes were older students complaining about their jobs in class and the professors complaining about their jobs and other students. Yes, you will pay 10s of thousands of dollars to hear a lot of complaining which is depressing and useless. Because the of subject matter being about jobs and money, you will encounter this more in a business class than in a math, English, chemistry, or history class
I graduated high school last year but i took a year off just bcz i didn't rlly know what iam passionate about and after finally deciding to choose business in uni …this video comes in my recommendation 🌚🌚already tired of overthinking and now I may reconsider my life decisions
Literally going into a mental breakdown💀💀
WHAT?!
Useless. Just study engineering sth. Otherwise not worth it. You can speak and you can get a job management jobs
you think the m in stem stands for medicine
