  1. I don't know about many, but reality is that most folks don't make the same amount of money every year; I've made a different amount every year and ended up earning about 20 times what I earned when I first started working 43 years later. For me, my income has always been a moving target- and that target is upwards..

  2. TLDR.
You are either Rich or Fucked.

    1.
    30% for Housing?
    Where You Living?? The 80s?
    2.
    20% for Fun???
Bro…. Most People dont have 5% left after Living Expenses.
Many have negative 5% in Fact…..

    So Yeah.
This is Great Advice if You make about 120k a Year.
Below that. Its a Pipedream You tell People to try and Blame them for not being born to Rich Parents.

  3. These are rule of thump, if your Gross Salary is on the low side, its almost impossible to do. If your salary is on the higher side, these numbers are ultraconservative (e. g. If you have a salary of 15K you would have to have around 4M in your nest egg) , that in reality is way too much, as long as you are responsible with your finances, 2M is plenty enough! Keep in mind you will have Social Security and your retirement expenses are not as much as today, also if your salary is on the high side, you don't really need 60% of current salary. What do you have is the opportunity of building inter-generational wealth!

  4. Always the fault of the poor and destitute. The way these goal posts keep moving, working class folk can't be blamed for their conditions. Especially when they're living within their means…. No vacations, no luxury purchases, minimal eating out, bargain shopping, etc. Don't open your mouth ready to admonish working class but not be ready to do the same thing to the rich and powerful. It's easy to punch down.
