For many working parents, the idea of “balance” feels out of reach. Mothers report higher standards at work, men and women perceive fairness differently, and women often shoulder a greater share of responsibilities at home and work. On top of these pressures, the cost and accessibility of childcare and the difficulty of setting clear work-life boundaries remain major obstacles for all parents.
