The business blunders of Yahoo over the years will always be studied for posterity. It hurts more because I grew up with Yahoo and Google, I witnessed all these bad decisions.
When I was 5, we went through a drive thru and ordered Hardee’s. My brother bit down on metal. It was a big piece of the grill brush. My dad went in immediately without a lawyer demanding “a million dollars” and they said get out. Weeks later they called and wanted to talk. My dad yelled into the phone “5 million bucks!!” Btw, this was in the early 90’s We never heard back from them. We find out years later that they were willing to pay a couple hundred thousand dollars to keep us happy but didn’t tell us because of how stupid my dad was acting. Everything was kept hush so they could say they did their part but no one showed up so they didn’t have to pay anything. We didn’t have to get a lawyer or anything. They saw it from our side and wanted to compensate us until my dad screamed at them like an idiot on multiple occasions. It was a handout they kept quiet so he wouldn’t get anything. What a moron.
People forget back than Yahoo has the best engineers. They had bad product. If Yahoo bought google and they used their idea im sure that google might be even bigger now. Yahoo engineers left and went straight to FANG
This has alwas been a wild mystery to me. I like video's like this bc i still dont know why whyspace doesnt own everything. I feel like they got the best cards at the best times amd fumbled
This sounds convincing but perhaps only in hindsight. Wisdom doesn't mean always right – it means making the best decision with the information you have at the time.
Yeah, they probably should have… Then social media wouldn't be as rampant as it is now… Because those companies would have been dead. And even if they made it as big as they are now, they'd be dissolved because they'd monopolise the market.

Wish they had bought Facebook at least. Then meta wouldn’t exist and in some alternate reality social media never really caught on.

Good Luck often comes in the form of your plans not working out…to ensure things work out.
Thanks Yahoo for not buying Google. You would have made it shit.😅
The truth is… the game was rigged from the start, aint no way Big Yahoo lettin Yahoo take his nickname
They should have bought both – they would be ruined by now. and the world would be a better place.
Yeah but if yahoo had bought it theyd of been beaten by someone else
Yahoo could have saved the timeline multiple times.
The masters of 20/20 hindsight…
then there are guys and gals that claims that ceo's are overpaid and their work doesnt matter😂 Well here you go!
Yahoo is still killing it in japan
Probably Facebook and Google became successful because Yahoo didn’t buy them
Or at least sold for 45 billion
Expresses that no one really knows anything lol

I'm sure the top-line Yahoo managers who made those decisions still got their bonuses in millions while they fired their employees.
Interns giving tips and taunts . Its death for me 🕊🙊
ain’t no way yahoo was worth almost 5 billion in 2016
I wonder how different the world would be if Yahoo would've bought Facebook

World would be a better place if yahoo wasn’t a stupidly run company
at least i dont have to say that "im going to yahoo something"
You can make one for Intel passing a chance to acquire NVIDIA
To be fair, we all should have bought Google or Facebook back then.
Woman, not even once.
Yahoo purchase Musk’s 1st company and didn’t use it.
