One of the most critical points that needs to be highlighted is related to YTM….
YTM assumes all intermediate interest amounts that one receive will be reinvested at YTM rate which is mostly impractical as market investment opportunities don't offer the same rate every time….so in reality one doesn't earn YTM rate but lesser than the YTM rate over the holding period of the bond

Bonds have risk too, as there is no guarantee that we will get back our principal, if the company fails.
BBB rating is best for normal middle class investors…well balances risk and YTM…but not in one company bond. 1 lac spread in 5 each 20 or 10 each 10…if one or two defaults (very rare), even then will be in profitable side getting more than FD.
I have investment in bonds around 10L , which monthly give me 9k around payout , which I invest again in small cap SIP. bonds I found better than the mutual fund. still I will get around 15-17% return yearly with minimum risk.

Konsa bond kharide maximum to NBFC hi hai. Koi dusra option bhi de do jo approx 10% return de sake
AAA rated bonds has a return of 7.5 to 8 percent and nothing more, simply invest in FD !
