Nexi is reportedly among the first service providers based in Italy to offer Visa’s and Mastercard’s money transfer solutions to business customers, allowing funds to be moved directly to user payment cards. Nexi, the European PayTech, has recently entered key collaborations with both Visa and Mastercard to enable quicker, seamless as well as cost-efficient payments for Italian businesses.

Visa Direct and Mastercard Move, the international platforms developed by Visa and Mastercard that offer more convenient as well as secure money transfer solutions, will be now be integrated into Nexi’s existing range of business services.

Via these recent agreements, businesses will be able to transfer money directly to their customers’ credit or debit cards securely as well as efficiently.

For transactions such as refunds, insurance payouts or compensation, Nexi’s corporate and merchant clients will be able to use Visa Direct or Mastercard Move “instead of traditional bank transfers or cheques, gaining significant advantages in terms of speed, cost and convenience.”

Filippo Signoretti, Merchant Solutions and eCommerce Director at Nexi Italy said that they are now pleased to be among the first in Italy, and among the first in Europe, to “offer direct money transfer solutions from Visa and Mastercard to our business clients.”

They added that this collaboration strengthens their commitment to providing digital tools “that simplify payment management, deliver tangible benefits and promote the continued growth and evolution of the digital ecosystem;”

Visa Direct and Mastercard Move both enable businesses and merchants to benefit from efficient liquidity management, improved financial flows and faster settlement for clients – who will aim to benefit from a faster and more secure payment experience.

Pilot projects are said to currently be underway and are now delivering positive results by significantly cutting down on processing times as well as operational costs for businesses operating in Italy. Both of the solutions, Visa Direct and Mastercard Move, will “be fully integrated into Nexi’s business service suite during 2026.”
