  1. People in the comments are right most companies rip you off when sack you or you leave but I had 1 good job when I left I was paid my wages plus my boss gave me 2 months wages as id been good employee I just needed to get a social life as didn’t have 1 due to my role in the job so I moved to a another job while working their was running 2 jobs for 2 months and when I told my boss what I was doing and my plan to leave in a few weeks he offered me that as a thanks for not just dropping him a staff member down with no warning

  2. I got a question for the tractor people, why do people skip a row and then come back to it latter wouldnt it be more efficient to just go up and down without missing/skipping rows?

  3. Sounds like dude managed to step on the toes of someone with weight in the company. Can happen from the smallest of things, some of those guys are really sensitive little guys in big man shoes.

  4. I'm lucky enough to be in a workplace where mistakes don't get met with blame but with constructive support. And I tell you what, nothing builds loyalty better. Working for a company that actively supports its employees makes me want to go out of my way to help the company whenever I can. It's a win-win. A lot of businesses need to learn that

  5. It happened to me as well. I got a job as a welder helper for 4 weeks. 10 minutes before i got fired, i was told I got on the night shift next week, and then they fired me without letting me know why. I asked them what i needed to improve so i could keep working for them, but they didn't tell me. I worked hard, my face filled with metal from grinning 10 hours a day, always 30 minutes early. Life is funny. Hope then, best for my hard-working brothers.

  6. This is very common, they hired him to do the job but didn't want to give the bonus, that is why he is getting fired. If he wasn't performing to standard, he wouldn't have been offered the 20k in the first place.

  7. He asked the wrong question. He should of asked how do I get my performance to be where you want it to be, not how can I get my 20k. You have to learn that people want to hear how you can benefit them.

  8. I took on overnight for my service desk job last year. It's a permanent work from home position, thankfully, so I could save a ton of money on gas and food. However, they dangled promotion to a second level on the service desk based on job performance–Well, overnight for my job does not necessitate a whole lot of work, to begin with. I was told they would evaluate my performance after two months to see if I would be a good fit for service desk L2–when the time came and I asked about possibilities, I was told the company wasn't going to expend resources on someone performing at the efficiency of less than one person.

I raised hell over it but nothing came of it. Basically swore to myself that I would just do the absolute bare minimum of what's expected of me and six months later I'm still working at this job.

  9. i got fired from a job earlier this month because I was “making too many mistakes”

    I was still in training

I was due to test out the next day

not once has anyone asked how to help

not once was I told your not performing well… just came out of the blue

Im glad I got fired, I was offered a better opertunity elsewhere.

  10. That was the issue with my work, they expected everyone to be and do better, but no one showed us how or what exactly they wanted. I put my full effort and found a way to get and do better, to become what they wanted, but others weren't so lucky. When you have three bosses above you each telling what they want and contradicting the other two, it gets exponentially harder to improve. So what I did is follow their words exactly as they said them. Two days of malicious compliance by me generated two weeks of redoing everything. Then they called a meeting and I told them exactly what they needed to hear. If three horses pull carriage each in their own direction, carriage won't move the way either of them wants it to move. They changed their way of thinking and now we work more efficiently than ever. It just took "their best man" to risk being fired and running company into the ground for them to realise they are idiots.

  11. So, just for my understanding she’s at the wrong side of the road and why the hell there are plates facing your direction at the right side? I think traffic plates aren’t suppose to be read with your mirrors. LoL

  12. When people wonder why no one has loyalty to a workplace anymore this is why. You’re promised sunshine and rainbows and when you come to collect they either deny you, lay you off for no reason because they can because labor laws suck or just pretend like they have no idea what you’re talking about. Hence why people who change companies every so often now tend to make more on average then those whose stay in one place

  13. Probably not even a problem with performance, probably just doesn't want to give him the bonus. They pull people in with bonuses, and then let them go before they have to pay them to rotate in and out cheap labor to backup primary staff.

  14. Yeah with my company, I started alongside two other people in the same position, each were assistant PM’s to one senior PM.

I excelled and am now a PM myself, a year later. But the other two, weren’t doing too hot so our employer had a few conversations with them about what can we do to help you succeed, and even moved them to different roles to try and find somewhere good for them. One didn’t workout and the other is now still here at the other role.
