Market Crash: Indian Equity OVER? 😱

Share post:

This is the RIGHT time to exit from the Indian stock market?

The equity market has fallen 13% so far this year. In fact, it has been continuously underperforming for the past 2 years now, leading to heavy losses for investors. But, does it mean that it is only the asset which is at fault?

See, all assets, be it equity, gold, real estate, go through cycles.
For example, in CY 2021 Gold gave a negative return of 2.1%, however the same asset rose to as high as 75.9% in CY 2025 and has given a YTD return of about 13%.
Does this move make Gold a good or bad asset?

The cyclicity holds true for Equity as well.
As a prudent Investor your job should be to create a diversified portfolio, which can handle the pressure when one asset class goes through a bad time.
And that is the whole point of diversification.

  1. DUMB IDIOTS COMMENTING ABOUT RELIANCE AND ADANI-
SAME IS THE CASE WITH FRANCE,SPAIN,USA ETC
EVERY COUNTRY HAS TOP COMPANIES WHICH HAVE DISPROPORTIONATE WEALTH OVER OTHER ONES

DEFENCE EXPORTS HAVE BECOME 50X IN 12 YEARS
ELECTRONIC EXPORTTS HAVE BECOME 26X IN LAST 12 YEARS

  2. No AI Innovations or any other market edge, war price fluctuations, tariffs, broken routes and last but not least political turmoil. Give me one example all these happening at same time in last 10 year or so, you talked about diversifying right, I am diversifying, when I started investing my portfolio consist of 100% of Indian Market securities, now it constitutes only 75% and remaining 25% is taken by global equity specifically USA, and they are the ones which are giving me the highest profit right now and high probability next year too, I will probably "diversify" 5-10% more of my portfolio to European Markets and then think about what to do my depreciating Indian Portfolio.

  3. As per my observation what we think the top holdings and nifty 50. Most of them are crashing from last 5 years now the IT sectors the price is reached to 2019 rates. The growth I found in madcap, few startups and few defence sector. In next 2 years the position the top holdings or nifty 50 In that 50% companies will switch their positions to other new companies this will happen just wait and watch

  4. What this kind gentleman is not highlighting is india with the peers. No one is actually crying about not getting returns. They are bothered because the peer countries are giving better returns, bother developed and developing markets.

  5. just becos nifty performed earlier does not mean it will do in future. with war and AI as future, nifty is a no no at present. better to put in FD or gold bonds to be safe

  6. Question is that if a retailer can survive 3000-4000 pts (or more) correction before the recovery if there would be one in the near future. Big investors will survive for sure, somehow they would but for how long can a retail investors keep investing with negative returns? History does repeats itself but it does in god knows how many decades later, not everybody is sitting in an AC room and being unnecessarily optimistic. Me and my group has left investing in Indian markets back in 2021 observing the Liquidity conditions and forecasted the downfall then itself saving plenty of losses, gst, cgst, sgst, etc.
He says 'bas thoda toh gira hai..' LOL

  7. Bhai you are showing positive returns from 2003! But i didn’t start investing in 2003 because I was in 3rd standard! I started investing in 2019. People have been telling me over and over again that you will start seeing magic of compounding after 7-8 years. Here I am in my 7th year. I hvn’t seen any “magic” yet!

  8. Indian market is doomed ..these guys will come up with daily videos to tell you to invest in mutual funds, sips, equities etc etc…but I have sold all my shares from Indian market and moved 100 percent to us market….I don't believe in India now
