Marriott to Acquire Rosewood Hotel Group?

Hong Kong tycoon Henry Cheng Kar-shun has been exploring a partial sale of assets within its luxury Rosewood Hotel Group, according to a Bloomberg.

Now a document posted on FlyerTalk hints that Marriott is looking to acquire the Rosewood Hotel Group. The letter is about tasking the Marriott team with submitting all required legal documents to the FTC and DOJ for approval, prior to the February (2026?) deadline.

The Rosewood Hotel Group’s portfolio consists of 59 hotels in 26 countries with more than 30 new properties currently under development globally.
