Southwest Airlines Getting Into Airport Lounges

Several big airlines in the United Airlines already have their own airport lounges. JetBlue is expected to open its first location later this year and now Southwest is also joining in with its first lease already approved.

Southwest Airlines already submitted the documents to build its first one in an airport you probably would not have guessed, Honolulu (HNL). The application is already approved for an airport lounge of just over 12,000 square feet.

After Honolulu, other possible locations include Baltimore (BWI), Nashville (BNA), Denver (DEN), and San Diego (SAN) with Las Vegas (LAS) and Phoenix (PHX) to follow.
