Update: More options in this comment.

The Offer

  • There seem to be various credit unions/banks/financial institutions offering a $500 bonus on the Consumer World Mastercard when you spend $5,000+ within three months. Some samples:
    • Bank of Clarke
    • Midwest Bank Centre
    • City Bank
    • Bank Independent

Card Details

  • $95 annual fee, waived first year
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • Earn 3% cash back for every dollar spent on travel (airfare, hotel, car rental) and dining,
    • 2% cash back for every dollar spent on gasoline and
    • 1% cash back for all other purchases

Our Verdict

I’m sure there are other places offering this as well. I tried doing various google searches (e.g site:https://myapexcard.com/preterms?pid=1511188770 $95 annual fee and One-time $500 cash back bonus consumer world) to find more but you can use other phrases as well. Hopefully somebody finds a true commonality to make it easier. No idea how easy these places are to get approved for but the offer itself is good for the sign up bonus but doesn’t make any sense to keep long term.
