  3. But dont the rules of US taxation apply here ? I thot that was the case ?
    Also since US tax applies then you can claim exemption in Indian tax since double taxation rules apply
    Isnt it ?

  6. I am an NRI and hold US stocks, sitting on a profit upwards of 1 lakhs INR. Since I have not worked in India in current FY and if I book a STCG, will I be taxed anything, since income tax is free upto 2.5 lacs.
